Cohesion Day @ ECP
Friday was our long-awaited and much anticipated COHESION DAY! for once we could really say GUARDROOM CLOSED :D thanks to
junwei and
samuel for their 24-hour duty which frees us up for our cohesion day! Our cohesion day was at east coast park.
Met
jeremy, harry and
weetit at j8 to set off for ECP together.
Jeremy gave me my bday prezzie which was a set of towels. i realised i forgot to bring towels so his bday gift would prolly come in handy later... hmm... Anyway,
Harry just rushed down from his interview for a job at the zoo and we waited for him to buy lunch before setting off. Along the way he was telling us the job scope for the job which he was applying for, which includes stuff like having to feed the animals and clean up the place. OMG imagine all the animal dung hahas. i think the job sounds interesting but i think ill be bored of that easily cos theres alot of routine chores to do :S On our way to ECP we bypassed VJC and coincidentally
jeremy and i were talking about keely so i suggested going in to find her since it was a school day hahas :D
after alighting the bus (missed a stop), we went thru an underpass to ECP and started looking for our pit. Finally found the lot of them all waiting for us hahas. FSM came by to speak to us too. Then we went biking and it was quite fun competing with each other hahas. We then went to bedok jetty where there were lots of people fishing. I borrowed a rod (with a caught fish) and posed for a pic of me catching a real fish :D
We then headed back to the BBQ pit to barbecue our food. Before we could start, it began drizzling and
ronn suggested that it was the right time to do something. Hahas actually i sort of expected it and tried to run but was too late. I struggled a bit but everyone was like restraining me so I got tossed into the sea hahas. Anyway after that, the drizzling stopped and we resumed our BBQ. The food was quite nice just that the spicy food was really super spicy.
eugene came later in the evening and gave me a bday gift too which was a cute cup (:
ronn also gave me an angpow as the guardroom gift.
After the food was ready, we began playing cards. I played a few rounds of bridge and then after that we started playing blackjack. hahas. got average luck. got a few
go-lengs but in the end my total profit was -$1. after that, it started drizzling again so we headed into a pavillion. They then lit the candles of my bday cake and invited me to the centre.
I suspected something fishy and wanted to leave but then i was once again restrained and brought into the centre, facing the bday cake. They then sang a bday song for me and got me to blow out the candles.
eugene broke one of the candles after that and said that i have to use my mouth to pick out the candle. hahas i knew what was going to happen after that but was forced to play along. while bending over to pick the candle, my face was smashed into the cake hahas. what a waste rite! after that the culprits all ran away and i chased them around and tried to cake them hahas. realised i prolly looked quite disastrous running around the park with cake all over my face and hair. in the end i successfully caked the culprits but caked some innocent people along the way hahas :P after that i was tossed into the sea yet again LOL. this time i was tossed both on the beach and in the sea, so i was sandy all over :S
after that we started assaulting random people. everytime we called for an end, the game never really ended and people were still assaulted unexpectedly hahas. finally when everyone was all tired out, the victims went to have a bath to change out into clean dry clothing HAHA. I can't imagine what would have happened to me if I hadn't received
Jeremy's gift! Thanks for your most practical gift (:
after the shower, we left ECP.
harry, weetit, wenwei and i followed
eugene in his car. went bishan for supper before
eugene fetched us back home (cos it was past midnight alr). thanks
eugene for fetching me almost literally to my doorsteps (: and thanks to all of you who have made this cohesion-cum-birthday celebration a smash (literally) :P i certainly enjoyed it and it was a really memorable bday celebration (: thank you!
