KBOX II
COUNCIL OUTING yesterday! (: Went for my 2nd kbox outing of this month haha. The package yesterday was abit diff frm the usual, but surprisingly cheap. it was just $17.50 FLAT without any plus-pluses. the package came with 1 drink + 1 finger food + 1 snack, which i thought was a bigger package than the usual 2 drink package. for finger food, we had a choice of nuggets / fries and for snacks we could choose chips / fruits. being very healthy people, we all decided to go for fruits haha. and they served a bowl of lychee and a pineapple slice.
when i reached there, only
kangya and
amelia were there, but more and more people started coming along the way. haha. i reached there about half an hour after them, and found out that they had already sang 2 songs which i wanted to sing - xiao tai yang and yang cong. nevertheless, yang cong is a must sing so i chose that again. cai hong was another popular song. alot of people who came in later all wanted to choose cai hong again.
wanted to sing na xie nv hai jiao wo de shi but it was STILL NOT THERE! guo jing's xia yi ge tian liang wasnt there too. hins' wen de tai bi zhen also not there. expected like better efficiency haha. wen de tai bi zhen and na xie nv hai jiao wo de shi alr out for quite a long time liao leh. mv also out le. anw, i sang all my fave new songs, including nicholas' cuo ai and xin ge shi chang. it was quite funny cos kbox will label the new songs with "xin ge shi chang". so when i chose that song, it was labelled xin ge shi chang (xin ge shi chang). HAHA.
kangya said i would give evryone a surprise each time i go kbox. first it was bu pa bu pa. then it was ren yi men. and my surprise of yesterday was HIHI BYEBYE. first time singing that song. really hard to act cute while rapping. really must give it to cyndi.
wes, xinyi, charles, guanghao and
darren joined us later and it was a really fun kbox session. the finger food was really filling and by the time i left kbox, i felt quite stuffed and didnt really want to eat much for dinner.
dinner was at MoF. i didnt knw a Ministry of Food existed haha. they served lots of jap food. i ordered cha siew ramen and it was quite ripoff cos there were onli 3 slices of char siew. darren also ordered that dish and we decided to check the menu (which had pictures of the dishes) to see if we were conned by the menu. but OMG guess what. the menu REALLY had 3 slices of char siew too. only finished half a bowl since i was quite full. but ironically i had room for dessert.
decided to choose mango shaved ice. had a feeling of deja vu eating the dessert since it was almost exactly the same as what i had eaten the day before (will talk about that later). the shaved ice was really fine though. and it tasted great. the dessert came with a bottle and a card telling me to pour the sauce in the bottle over the shaved ice to enjoy my dessert. after testing the contents, it turned out to be mango sauce, so i poured the whole bottle over my shaved ice and it looked like lava flowing down an ice mountain. haha. dessert was definitely more worth it than the main course itself.
after dinner, we took a group shot and began deciding what we should do. haha. sounds like what we usually do. everyone began crowding round in a circle and then started discussing where we should head to next. decided to go to macs, which was like where we went to the last time we came to this area. haha. anyway, the last time round we went to jacks place, and i clearly rmb
darren joining us but somehow he couldnt seem to rmb. ok. back to the story. so we headed to macs and found out that all the seats were full, so it was back to square one. evryone started standing around and discussing the next plan of action.
we finally settled on an area outside ritz, opp pan pacific. we then sat down and chatted for a while b4
chinghui,
yuxuan and i left. reached home like 2-3 min b4 midnight. it was really nice seeing the councillors again and i really enjoyed myself at the kbox + dinner session yesterday :D hopefully we can have any kbox + outing soon. for now, i thk i shd give my throat a break after having 2 kbox sessions on 2 consecutive weeks.
anyway, on friday, some of the RPs went to celebrate
jeremy's bday. we had dinner at bugis junction, then went to bugis street to shop around before we stopped at ice monster to have shaved ice haha. their recommended dish was mango shaved ice with durian topping. and they called the dish "liu mang bing" - "liu" for "liu lian" and "mang" for "mang guo". haha. thought it was quite a creative name. i ordered a SMALL bowl of liu mang bing cos i refuse to order REGULAR, as it reminds me of something bad. and the small bowl was huge lah. it was like twice or thrice my home rice bowl size.
the mango + durian combi was a sure killer for the throat, and i quickly drank lots of honey water when i reached home, cos i could already feel myself losing my voice. thankfully i didnt develop a sore throat the next day and could still go for the kbox session (:
